The Premier suffered another relapse last evening, and has since been very weak. with pulse one hundred and thirty-five, and respiration thirty.

The symptoms are decidedly depressing.

The heart action is very weak; perspir- ation profuse; breathing ]+bored, and abil- ny to take nourishment almost gone. The Queen sends daily messages.

Orrawa, June 2, Only a very few persons enter the sick room. Lady Macdonald scarcely at all, and is constantly in.attendance. Hugh Macdonald, M. P., Sir John’s only son, is with him day and night. His trusted and faithful secretary, Joseph Pope, and Fred. White, comptroller of the mounted police, formerly private secretary, are regular watchers. Hon. Mr. Mz. Dewdney, who is a warm personal friend, spends a good part of his time at Earnscliffe.
