Our attention has also been drawn to the apparent reckless driving of many of our local taxi drivers who assume the right of way belongs to them under every circumstance. These should be dealt with by our local policemen.

We have examined the jail prem- ises and found everything in first class condition. with the exception of the stove in the prisoners’ kit- chen. which la in very bad eon- dition and should have the neces- sary repairs made at once.

In a recent break, when two prisoners were able to make their escape we have been informed that these prisoners made a statement they were under the Influence of liquor at the time and that this liquor was supplied to them from outside. Upon a thorough ex-‘Im- lna-tlon we were not able to find any place where on entrance could be made. We nevertheless recom- ment that a strand of barbed wire be run all the way around
