SAN FRANCISCO (CP) —- Representative William E. Mil- ler of New York was nominated Thursday night as Republican party vice - presidential can- didate to run with presidential candidate Barry Goldwater in the 1964 US. presidential elec- tion.

Miller was named by Gold- water as his running mate fol- lowing the nomination Wednes- day night. of the Arizona sen- ator as Republican presidential candidate.

Miller. a hard - line. conser- vative and Republican party national chairman. was uncon- tested for the nomination as vice - presidential candidate in the Nov. 3 election.
