In relieving you from further Attendance on your Legis- lative Duties, I am happy to be able to congratulate you upon the large Amount of Public Business which has been transacted during the Session.

I hasten to acknowledge the Loyalty and tho Zeal which have induced you, without a dissentient Voice, to plain.- the whole Revenue of the Colony at the Disposal of the Exqmtive fer the Defence of this Island.

I am glad that a like Spirit of Unanimity has also charac- terized your Discussions on the Militia and Volunteer Laws, to which I directed your special Attention at the opening of the resent Session.

I ave given my Assent, with much Pleasure, to the Act which you have passed for the Regulation of these Forces. and no Excrtion shall be wanting on my Part to carry out the Determination you have shewn of placing the Militia on a sound and effective Footing.

Mr. Speaker, and Gentlemen of the House of Assembly,-

I thank you, in Her Majesty’s name, for the Supplies which you have granted for the Public Service. Mr. President, and Honourable Gentlemen of the Legislative Council; Mr. Speaker, and Gentlemen of the House of Assembly; The Measure by which you have extended my Powers of purchasing Land, has my hearty Concurrence; and I trust

that, under its Provisions, I may be enabled to purchase large Estates from the Proprietors.

I now release you from further Attendance here by pro- roguing this Session at the Legislature.

Crossman, James Crossman, Alexander Crossman, and Henry Crossman, in and to 90 acres of land, he the same a. little more or less, situate at or near Cross- man’s Point, in Lot (1' Township No. 17, in Prince County; and I do hereby give public notice that I will, on Wednesday, the 20th day of June, 1866, at 12 o’clock, noon. at the Court House, in St. Eleanor’s, set up and sell at public auction, the said property, or as much thereof as will satisfy the levy marked on the said writ, being £35 145 9d, with interest thereon from the 16th July, 1864, at the rate of 10 per cent per annum, and 16s 10d for said writ, besides Sher-E’s tees and incidental expenses.
