Godfrey, precisely at five o'clock, their only daughter Jenn Robertson was un- itcd in. marriage with ‘Mr. A. A. Mc- Beath of the some place. The charming young bride looked hand. some in a gown of white brocaded canton crepe, trimmed with rhiu‘e- stones, caught up with rhinestone buckles; and wearing a rope of pearls, as she entered the drawing room on the arm of her father and placed beside the waiting groom. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Ross C. Eaton of this city. The young couple were uh- nttended and owing to n recent bereavement in the family, only the very closest relatives oi the contracting parties were present, and the proceedings asumed as quiet a form as possible. The bride who is one of Manshfields most popular and talented young ladies .1 graduate of "Acadia Ladies Seminary" and also of the "new, School of Design" Boston. Mass, from which latter place she gradua- ted in 1923, winning a scholarship in textile designing to take advan- tage of which she continued her studies during 1924, The ‘groom is one of the well known and pro- gressive young farmers of Marsh- field and needs no further in- troduction to our renders. The high esteem in which this couple ure held was fully evidenced in. the array of numerous and costly pre- sents, telegrams and expressions of congratulation received. The ceremony and wedding supper being over‘. and having been duly serenaded by the youth. and beauty, of Marshfield, and surrounding dis- tricts the happy couple drove to their home at Roses-ale, th-e bride wearing a henna broad cloth frock, with hat to match, and u magnificent persian lamb coat with sable trimmings, the gift of the groom, and followed by the b-est wishes of a host of friends in which the Guardian heartily joins.

Yesterday there passed away in this city Mrs. (Doctor) John T. Jenkins at the advanced age of ninety-thee years.

The deceased was born in St. John's Newfoundland in 1832 and was a daughter of the late Captain the Honourable Stephen Rice, late of the famous 7th Hussars, who distinguished themselves at the battle of Waterloo.

She was married to Dr. John T. Jenkins shortly after his return from the Grim-en. War, where he ‘served in his medical capacity, and

Since then Mrs. Jenkins had spent her lifetime in_ till! city, with the except-w °l

She was a life long and consist- ent member of the Church of EnB- land. the Doctor's father being for many years Rlector of St. Paula Episcopal Church, Charlottetown- in earlier life she was an active church worker and prominently identified with the activities oi the church, and also with the social life of the community.

Her husband predeceased her six years ago.

Father Arsenaulfs death did not come as a surprise as he had been ill for some time without prospects of recovery. He was sixtflllllll’ years of age and uil 1° 80""? months ago had been robust and in splendid heailth. He ‘was the oldest of nine sons and daughters of the late Senator Joseph O. Arsenuuilt. He was educated ut St. Dunstans College and at St. Joseph's College, Mernramcook. He joined the Holy Cross and was ordained priest thirty-six years ago.

l-le was. a splendid musician and taught piano and vloliin both at Si. Laurenfs. Montreal and St. Jos- eph's, He was also n splendid ‘band roaster and organized bands not on- ly in these ‘colleges but in lrnany towns in which lhfl was a Parish Priest. He ‘left the Holy Cross or- der olboult luwenty-five years ago and took up parochial work in North Dakota, where he has resid- ed ever since.

By the death of Dr. John D. Mac- Intyre, which occurred at his ‘home yesterday evening at 5 o'clock. Montague and vicinity has lost one of its oldest. most prominent and useful citizens. ‘

The late Dr. Maclntyre who had passed his sixtieth year was the son of Captain Maclntyre who lost his life a number of years ago while on- s. voyage from Newfoundland to the West indies. He "received his early education at Montague school and later entered Prince of Wales College. After spending two years in that institution , he graduated with high honors and then decidin! to take up a medical career he en- tert-d McGill University.

During his college course which was an exceptionally brilliant one Dr. Maclntyre by his unassuming and cheerful disposition made many life-long friends who will remember him as one who was always e. true gentleman.

Upon the completion of his medi- cal studles, Dr. Macintyre located at Montague and during the past 25 years or more has carried on s. very extensive practice. The tie- ceased was characterized by his charitable disposition and despite- his many professional duties found time to take an active and DWI!!- lnent -part ‘in everything pertaining to community welfare.

Although the late Dr. Macintyre lrnd been confined to his home for the past three months the nelws of his death came as a shock to his many friends throughout the‘ isl- and.

He leaves to mourn a sorrowinz uvidow (formerly Miss Sutherland of New London) one daughter Mary, at, present attending Dal- housie University and five sons:- Doctor Heath of this city. Announcement of the death at Halifax of Dr. Alexander Anderson was received yesterday by ex-Preml- vr Bell, a former student of the late Doctor. -

Dr. Anderson had passed his eigh- ty-elghth year and latterly had per- coptibly failed in health; his death wars therefore, not entirely one xpected, nevertheless, the announce ment caused u shock of sorrow and regrut among the many friends who had such kindly recollections of the grand old man who was such a prominent figure in the edu- catlonal life oi’ the Province.

Dr. Anderson was born in Aher deenshlre, Scotland, on the 80th of September, 1836, the son of Alexan- der nnd Margaret Imray Anderson, both natives of Aberdeenshire, where for many generations the members of both families were farmers. After receiving his ele- mentary education in a school ‘in Aberdeen. he went to Edinburgh at eighteen years of age and for two years attended Moray House train- ing College as u scholarship pupil.
