He was a life-long resident. ot Morell where he was it prosperous tanner. and was always ready to lend a hand to a menu or neigh- bour. He wlll be sorely missed by his associates.

For thirty years he was it val- ued and faithful member of the church choir where he served in the capacity of both organist and leader. To all the parish endeav- ours he gave his whole-hearted support. An exemplary CaLl'ioltc he was the model of a true Christian. The words of Scripture which des- cribe st. Joseph may surely be ap- plied to him. for truly. '1-le was it Just man."

Nor does the comparison end there. His home was patterned on that of Nazareth, where peace. union and charity reigned supreme. one of the greatest. dreams at his life was realized last June when his adopted son, the Reverend Reg- lnald Phelnn. was ordained a priest of God.
