BENEVOLENT IRISH SOCIETY.

A Meeting of the Office-bearers of the above Society was held at the house of Mr. Thomas Broderick, on Thursday evening last, February 28, to take into consideration the present state of the poor of the Town, and to adopt some means for their relief. Resolved, That this Meeting do get up a Lottery for the above object, to be held in the Catholic School House, on St. Patrick’s Day next, at the hour of two o’clock; and that a Committee be appointed to manage the same. The above Lottery will consist of twenty-five prizes. The same to be of the value of fiom five stiflings to two pounds ten shillings.
