A few weeks before Christmas Joltnil_\"s F‘l_\'in: Hawks lip- Oet Sandy's Pairkdale Royals in an exhibition game at Charlotte- tmlvn Forum. It started qilite a verbal war bctucen the club operators but nothing was done about settling these differences on the ice. There was word about a ‘winner-takc»al1' battle but it just didn't come about.

Des Ite t.he fact that we are still in the festive season, Royals and the Flying Hawks appear to have forgotten this and neither have had much good to say about the otller. There were claims and counterclaims about the abilities of Royals and Hawks. It became so public that was ‘Buckn' Trainor manager of the Forum finally got the arch rivals together and urged them to settle their differences on the ice.
