WEDDING BELLS — One of-the early June weddings was solemn- ized at 8.30 o'clock on Wednesday evening, June 5th at the home of Mr. H. A. and Mrs. Stewart, Norbcro, when their third daughter. Reta Elizabeth, became the bride of Mr. John Eric MacMurdo, eldest son of Archibald and Mrs. MaoMurdo, Kel. vin Grove. The ceremony was per- formed by theRev. F. W. William- pastor of the Keir Memorial Presbyterian Church, Malpeque, in the presence of thirty guests. ‘The bride was dressed in a white satin and lace princess gown with long- fitted sleeves. Her arm bouquet was 0f white wmB-tlOIiS and red tea roses. She entered the parlor on the arm of her father to the strains of the Wedding March, played by Mrs. Edward MacMurdo. Her sister, Miss Doris, attended her as brides- maid, dressed in green satin similar to that of the bride's. Her corsage bouquet was of spring flowers. Mr.

SE. Que, Jung 11.—An inquest here today returned a verdict that ft. P. Simpson, 32, Charlottetown mer- chant, was killed by the passage 9f a train over his body.

Mr. Simpson's body. cut in two by railway wheels, was found on Can- adian National Railway tracks a mile and a half east of this village early today. Identification was es- tablished through papers found in thg DOCKET-S.

At the inquest no evidence was brought out as to how Mr. Simpson fell from a train. He was passenger in the Mormon-Montreal express which passed through here during the night.

According to information received by Mr. E. W. MacKinnon, Superm- tendent of the Island Division of the C. N. 1%., the body of Mr. Simp- son was found near St. Charles Sta- tion about thirteen miles east o! Levis. The discovery was made by

There passed away at Charlotte- town on May 31st, Mr. Wm. l. Han. rington. eldut of the family of the late Peter and Mary Sullivan Har- rington of Norboro.

Mr. Harrington was born in the year 185'! and was educated 1t Prince of Wales College, St. Dun- stan's University and the Comma! cial College. all of Charlottetown. He spent a few years In the store of his uncle, the late John P. Sullivan. St. Peter's Bay. and also in the law oflice of his uncle, the late W. W. Sullivan, Charlottetown. When the fever for the west broke out in i881 he joined the many and went to the golden coast. Ha was accountant in the employ of Nelson Bennett 8a 00., the well known ‘contractor of Vic- toria, British Columbia, for twenty- one years from whom he received a bonus for proficiency. He returned to his native isle in 1914. He was an honest and unassuming character and much respected by all his ac- quaintunces.

'I'here passed away on Sunday at the home of her grandson, Mr. LeRoy Howatt, Victoria, Mrs. Cal- vin l-lowatt, after an illness of a few weeks. Mrs. Howatt. was be- fore her marriage, Miss Bessie Roger-son. daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Roger-son of Crapaud. She leaves to mourn one son, Russell Howatt of Tryon and the following sisters. Mrs. William Bell, Cape Traverse,‘ Mrs. Newton Muttart, Victoria: Mrs. \ Gordon Dawson, Summerside; and one brother, Robert Rogerson, Wictcria. (Another brother, Bruce died about 28 years ago).
