We could recall on this occa- sion, the strong efforts which for several years, had been made ta establish a branch of the C. M. B. 4. here. We persist- entiy advocated the establish- ment of such a beneficial order in our midst. Our incessant ad- vocacy had its reward. During this time the doctorf ‘seconded with all his heart the efforts made to have the Cathelic Mu- tual Benefit Association esta- blished here, and it is only just to remind the membrs, that if the Tignish Branch is now on the threshold of prosperity, it is due to men like the doctor, who so incessantly worked for im- provement.
