Preparation are being begun already for next season's lobs- ter-fishing. Messrs Whalen & Co. are building an addition te their lobster factory and con- template fitting out one or two vew boats. Mr. J. McGuigan has retired from the partnership and Mr. Augustin A’hern, of high line fame, takes his place. Success to the new firm.

Mr Peter Whalen has com- pleied a fine new kitchen. which adds greatly to the ap- pearance of his dwelliug and

Mr. Win. Kinch intends to pro vide himself with the same substantial addition to his lodg ings in the early summer.

We hear that Mr Martin Fo- ley is the loser of another fine horse from what the “Vet” pro nonunced to be braia fever. This is the second Mr. Foley lo ses in à year.

During a recent gale Mr Thos. Conroy's residence and seaside property were almost complete- ly swept away by the force of the tide. Much sympathy is felt for his loss.
