Three or four coate of trong hydrochloric acid are brushed over the inful part of the cerve, and the limb acovered with a ¢oitun-wool dressing. The heat and ¢marting are severe but qaite bearable. The application can be repeated in 24 or 48 houre, but not agaic for several days, less sloughs should ap- pear.
