This lot has been dylded in plots, many of whch have already been pur- chased prospective builders. A new roa is to be made through‘ this new section running at right angles to the main street. An amusing incident happened in I

the Montague District. when three proponents of the gun were hunt- ing partridge in that district. After having roamed the wilds in search of game. and with the usual good

On driving along tho road a likely f;eld was spotted, and one of the awk-eyed group saw a neck rising rom the stubble. Think- ing that only one partridge was present, the member let blala felling the bird. Not to be outdone by the wily birds, how- ever, the trio proceeded to follow the flock across the field, when sud- denly a, shout was heard from the rear. 0n turning around. the three hunters noticed the owner standing beside the field. “Get out", he yelled. the trio took one lock at the flock o! partridge. and one look at the 111011. and proceeded to send their heels across the turf towards the road. After escaping. but still feel ng indignant over their unfor- tunate lcss, the ti‘ o made plans t0 retoraco the lost ground. One of the bravest of the group then took his gun in hand, and sneaking across
