OTTAWA — Northern Affairs Minister Arthur Laing has pro- mised to do all he can to ex- tend the present Prince Edward island National Park. Replying to a plea from Heath Macquar- ric. MP for Queens. Mr. Laing said that while the P.E.I. park had one of the most beautiful and extended beaches in all of Canada. the park had very lit- tle depth.

"Today. with the development behind this extremely narrow Dark. it would be expensive for P.F2.i. to expand it."
