Appropriate music was played by Mrs. Leo Gallant while the surprised young couple were es- corth to two gaily decorated chairs beneath a beautifully de- corated umbrella on the stage. by Mrs. Henry Arsenault.

The young couple graciously thanked their friends for the lov- ely gifts. A delicious lunch was served by friends of the bride assisted by several ladies.

C. E. 1",, will be sponsored by the C. G. I. T. of Kcnsingtun Un- tcd Church in the town and neighboring communities on Fri- day afternoon beginning at 4:00 p.m.
This is an entirely voluntary campaign which will be carried out by many organizations across Canada on Hallowe'cn.
In 1950. one small Sunday school class celebrated a U.N.I. C.E.F. Hallowe’en and liked helping others so much that other youngsters joined in the fun from cities. towns and vil- lages across North America. In Canada. alone, last year their combined gifts of pennies, nick- les, and dimes rang up the amazing total of $75,000.
The Kensington C.G.I.T. par- ticipated last year calling at homes and places of business and a nice sum of $64 was col- lected.
So this year as the public be— comes more aware of the trc- mendous help that is made available by this money, it is anticipated that even a larger amount will be collected.

ALBERTON — Mr. and Mrs. Lco Kinch have left for their home in Oregon after visiting relatives in Alberton last week.
It is 52 years since Mr. Kinch left Alma and this is the first time he has returned to his na- tive province. Although he sees many changes. Mr. Kinch was able to recognize much that was familiar and he also found a number of his friends still here.

Funeral Held O’Leary Church
Tile funeral service of the late . Mrs. Alonzo MacGrczor was hcl:l in the O'Leary Baptist Church. Saturday afternoon. A short service was held in St. Eleanors. at the home of her son. Major and Mrs. MacGrcgor. and was conducted by Rev. Mr. William- son of the Nazarene Church. then to the O‘Leary Baptist Church where the pastor Rev. Ross Ho- ward preached the sermon and was assisted by Rev. Mr. Wil- liamson.
Mrs. MacGregor was 80 years old and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. H. MacP'ncr- son. Hymns sung were “The Lord's my Shepherd," “There‘s No Disappointment in Heaven." and a duet. “Going down the Val- ley,” by Mrs. Watson Silliker and Mrs. Don MacDonald. Her husband predeceased her a num- ber of years ago. She leaves to mourn the passing of a loving mother. five daughters. Elizabeth Pearl, Rita, Helen, Elsie. five sons, Major, Hughie, Will. Lloyd, Jim. Three brothers. Almond. Murdock and COlllTl MacPherson.
Burial was in Springfield Bap- tist Cementery.
Mrs. Kinch is a native of the state of Wisconsin and this was her first visit to Prince Edward Island. Both Mr. and Mrs. Kinch thoroughly enjoyed their holiday here and it is their intention to return again next summer.
Rev. W. Elliott Gives Talk To Alberton Ass’n.
ALBERTON — Alberton Men's Association met in the United Church Hall Monday evening at seven o‘clock when a turkey supper was served by members of the ladies' aid.
Rev. Waldo Elliott of Miargate. the guest speaker. gave a most interesiing illustrated talk about the Indians at Round Lake,
Saskatchewan. where he had served as a student-minister. Officers for the coming year are as follows: Honorary president —— Elmer McLean; president Frank
Bryan; vice-president — Earle Atkinson; secretary — Cedric Hunter; treasurer — Norman‘ Hardy. ‘
Committees will be appointed by the executive.
A report on the evangelistic mission, which had been spon- sored by the association. was given by Kenneth Leard and Russell Bonyman.
As a project the members of the association belonging to Al- berton congregation have under- taken to shingle the church roof. The trustees of the church. Ced- ric’ Hunter. Charles Johnston. Norman Hardy. Gordon Warren and Fred Leard. with Perley Hardy, were named a commit- tee to give leadership in this
project.

The members of the Bethel La. dies Aid gathered at the Bt‘hsl Church for their October meet- ing will the President. Mrs. Lloyd Barwise presiding over the business period.
Mrs. Ray Collicutt “as in charge of the worship, opening the meeting with a hymn follow- ed by prayer. Scripture taken from Deuteronomy, Chapter 17. 14 - 20 verses was read respon- sively. Readings were given by several of the members.
Prayer was offered by Mrs. Lloyd Bua'rwise. Worship conclud- ed with the benediction.
'Roll call was answered by seven members and two visitors were present, Sick Committee re- ported marking eight calls, twelve treats.
Next meeting is to be held at the home of Mrs. Kenneth Ellis with Mrs. Horatio MacWilliams in charge of the worship period. Meeting closed with Mizpah Be- nediotion.
