Red Pott has the ¢ffor y that King’s County is - Liberal,—that is Grit, King’s County is a Liberal County, but it is the old-time Liberalism of Coles and Whelan and not the Toryism of the present Grit party, King’s County supports. Take the local electione for the past six or eeven years and we find that the Liberal- Conservatives in King’s County are over- whelmingly in the majority. At two general elections nine Liberal-Conservatives were elected to one poor solitary Grit, aud heretofore, at bye-elections, no Grit dare face the music. This looks as if King’s County were Grit, does it? Out I say upon such lying misrepresentation. I wonder very much that the Patriot should be su lost to all sense of journalistic decency as to give space in its colamns to such stuff,
