When seen in one line, they lead through the Western Entrance to Hay Sound, in the fairway, be- tween the How Rock, of? the Hay Sliorc—nnd Kirk Rock, off the Stroinness Shore. Aller running in on this line to the point A in the Chart, half-a-mile oi? the Low Light, where the depth is about 8 fntlioms, the High Red Light is auddeiily eclipsed by the lnnd; and it is then time to haul towards the Strotnnens Shore,when the Red Light will immediately reappear.

The Hunt l.iGii'r is elevated H5 Feet above the Sea; but, being a I"i's:eil Red Light. it is not seen at a greater distance than about It) Nautic Miles. It illuminates a small Arc toward the S. E. from S. E. by E. to S. E. L S., facing the Western Entrance to Hey Sound. Toward Stroiiiiicss, the High Tower aliowa a Fixed Bright Light. from S. S. E. 1 E. to \V. S. \V

'l‘he l.ow LIGHT, as already stated. is known to Mariners as a Fixed Bright Light.
