Blanche McPhall, who predeceased i him, April 19th 192s. The deceas- ' .- ed was educated at the public school grind afterwards graduated from the ~Mltchell School, of Cutting, New Stork. In 1885 he opened a tailor- " ing establishment at Cape Traversv in partnership with the late Jack ‘Arnett. In 1887 he‘ removed to Summerside and took a position as head cutter with the late David Stewart, who conducted a men's furnishing and tailor shop in the old Crabbe Block. Shortly after he purchased the business and has since conducted a custom tailoring

Work on the new Prince Edward Island Hospital building, the con- etruction of which began five weeks ago, has made rapid progress, as the construction company is en- deavoring to have all external work, completed before cold weather sets in, and is planning to have the roof completed by November l. The rooms on the ground floor, part of which is below the ground level are practically all completed, with six inch concrete wells. There are 50 rooms on this floor.

The work on the next floor is now in progress. Window frames are being put in and carpenters are busy.
