The Salvation Army on Sunday had its usual muster, procession, kneel drill, attack on Satan’s kingdom. The muster took place at the Barracks, Little Richmond-street, at 715, Lieut Nellie Kiezer in command. At that time there were about 100 persons in the Hall. Childrenwere rusning up and down the gallery steps where the soldiers sit. the fifer Was engnged in trying afew of his favourite airs. A boy with a mysterious instrumest ol awful discord, calied the ocarnia, was making the place hideous with din, soldiers were merrily, @ girl with the tambourine now and again manifested her deftness with that pecu- lar instrument, the cymbals udded their quota to their unharmepious proceed— ing, and the scraping of fiddles out of tube completed the mixture of discor- dant sounds, At iasteome kind of order was brought out of the chaos, the band struck up a lively tune, and afew soldiers followed with

Lieut. Kiezer now entered the bar- racks rapidly marched up the aisle, gave the tambourine a dexterous thramp, advanced to the front, knelt down, and prayed briefly that the Lord would be with them in their parade, give them a good meeting, and save precious souls, The procession was then formed and the streets were par- aded. The leader then called for “knee drill,” and her invecation was direct to the point. “Oh, Lord,” said she, “we are glad we are here to-night. Weare glad we are in Thy company. We are glad to be with Jesus, and we ask Thee to come right down among us. Oh, God Almighty, come in our midst to-night. Ohcome in our midst to-night and save sinners here Oh come to- night and speak right totheir hearts and wash away all their sins. Help them Lord to come to Thee te-night,and confess Thee before this meeting, and take right hold of Thee by faith, Ob, Lord, save souls to-night here for Jesus

The Lieutenant then gave out the announcement relating to the first an- niversary ef the Salvation Army in Canada, and asked for contributions in jink. “ The people will \be hungry,” said she, “and I want you to send on your contributions, ne matter what it is, and the Lord will bless you. You come here Sunday after Sunday and are getting good all the time, and you ecught to send something, no matter what it is—-a barrell of flour, a cow or a pig. (Laughter,) If you cannot send something give us some money.
