According to information receiv- ed by a Guardian representative from the Provincial Police, a Sum- merside youth has confessed to be- ing the driver oi the car which col- lided with a wagon on the high- way near the Prince County Capi- tal on Wednesday night, when Mr. Charles Waugh received injuries from which he is still lying uncon- scious in the Prince County Hospi- tal.

‘THAT whereas this Province has a large crop oi potatoes now in the farmers‘ hands, and for which there is little, ii any, mar- ket in America. And whereas it is currently reported that Great Britain is much in need oi pota- toes. And whereas there is an embargo against Canadian potatoes entering Great Britain. HALIFAX, N. 5., Oct. 22.-As a. sequel to the bank robbery staged by three local youths, two policemen of . the city force, Thomas Giiioy and Ross Taylor, have been dismissed.

The day the robbers were arrest- ed a squad of policemen searched the home oi Chlpman H. Smith, who. with Richard Morse and G. Leroy Dickson, later pleaded guilty. More than $13,000 of the loot was recovered and it is alleged that two policemen tried to get away with two bundles 0i bills amounting to $605.
