Here are members of this liter- ary family: Milton's “Lyciduf” in memory of one King who intend- cd to study for the church bu: was drowned; Shelley's “Adonuls" in honour oi’ Keats who died young; Matthew Arnold's "Rugby Chapel" in memory oi! his father. the famous master of Rugby schcol, and “Thyrsis" an elegy for Ar- lhur H. Clough; Swinburnefia poem mu Béll'l‘_\' Cornwall and 1.n viegy in memory of Baudelsuc; Emerson's “Threl1ody" in memory of his little son vvho died when five years old; and Tennysuxrs "In Mc-moriam."
