v The founding meeting of the Island Nature Trust was held on

I Sept. 12 in the Farm Center. 'Unfortunately, the turn-out was Poor- However, the by-laws were accepted and a nomination i committee of five members was established to draft suitable

' candidates for election to the general council. A membership 'fee of $5.00 per person or $25.00 per organization was '~established. Those at the meeting also recommended that p‘major Island organizations be contacted to inform them of ;the Trust and to invite them to participate.

iThe next meeting (or more accurately the completion of the {Sept. 12 meeting) will be held at the Farm Center at 8:00 p.m. ?on Sept. 26. I sincerely hope that all those people who ?expressed such interest in the information meeting held last pgspring will show up with friends. We need a large membership gand a strong general council from which to choose the v?executive. The executive will also require advice on projects }and programs for the coming year. .
