3.“ Any such Comme ‘reial Traveller or son not permanently residing in this Vince as aforesaid, who, after the paseing this Act, shall sell any ‘goods, wares or mer chandize, or solicit or canvass for orders for the sale, exchange or purchase of any goods, wares or merchandize in any manner afore- said within this Province without ne first paid the said license fee or direct tax, obtained the said licen+e, shall for each ep every occasion upon ‘vhich he or she shall sell any goods, wares 0, merehandize, or citor canvass foran order for the xale, ex- change or purchase of any goods, wares OF mere handi ze as aforesaid, be liable to pay & sum of two hundred dollars to ie said vincial Treasurer.”

This Act is now in force.
