The Street Committee report given by Chairman David Stewart stated that the recent storm necessitated the re-assembly of winter equipment on trucks, tract- on and motor graders after they had been dismantled.

The name of Goodwill Avenue was given to the City Street new known as Brighton Place. Among the communications was a letter of thanks from the Arts and Crafts Guild ecknowledgiiiiz the donation of 8500 from the City. A letter from the Fire De- partment seeking equipment such as a life not, hose. fire lights and rubber boots was read.

The Council also acknowledged a letter on the fire hazards from the City Board of Trade. A sim- ilar latter had been forwarded to the. Council before the sporting Club fish but no sign of it had been seen by the Council.

At the conclusion of the meeting Councillor neeton brought in the attentlon of the Council that a man was acting in the capacity of auctioneer in the city during the‘ past week without a license to do so. The Mayor stated that action would be taken in the matter.

The Mobile Team, for the first time. had to come to the province by train and arrived Monday even- ing on schedule having had to pack and ship all the equipment by train. The three vehicles, which usually take the Mobile Team and all the equipment., left l-lellfax yesterday morning and got as far as Amherst last evening. They are expected to arrive in Chu'lotte- town this afternoon.
