ATTENTION ALL MATURE AND PART-TIME STUDENTS

Welcome to the University of Prince Edward Island. In case you are not aware, there is an organization on campus JUST FOR YOU ! The organization is called MAPUS. It consists ofall mature, (i.e over the age of 24) full-time and part- time students. Membership is automatic.

THE NEW MAPUS LOUNGE: We, the executive of MAPUS, would like to welcome each and everyone of our members to visit our NEW lounge located in Robertson Library Room 106A. The Lounge is open the same hours as the Library and there is space to relax, have lunch, or just veg out. The Lounge is there for your use, when you want. Lockers are available for anominal yearly fee. The executive is there to help you deal with any difficulties that may arise academically or politically with regards to the university. It is a space to meet each other and form new friendships, etcetera.

WORKSHOPS: The workshops that were scheduled for the Fall semester have been cancelled. These workshops will be rescheduled for the Winter semester. To register please contact our office at 566-0448 and leave your name and phone number.

UPCOMING EVENTS: All the events are posted in the Lounge. Please stop by and takealook. Wedo hold many social events throughout the semester, as we believe this is amajor part in enabling members to keep their sanity. Many times our students have various hats to wear, like work, parent, student, volunteer and so on. These social events can give you the deserved break you need.

Our Hallowe'en Pot- Luck is scheduled for Satur- day Oct. 26th. Drop over to the MAPUS Lounge for addi- tional info and to sign up.

Our Workshops for this semester have been cancelled due to insufficient registra- tions. We will reschedule for next semester, probably begin- ning early January, if we can geta minimum often(10) reg- istrations per Workshop. We reserve the right to cancel one (1) week prior to any sched-

uled date. Topics are likely to include Howto Study; Howto Write Papers and Library Tour; Work in Groups; Time & Stress Management. Please call MAPUS at 566-0448 for more information.
