Transport Minister Michaud has come for- ward with a new alibi for failure to provide an auxiliary iecbrcaker for the Bordcn-Tormcntine service this winter. He says the captain of the Prince Edzeard Island did not “want to be bothered" with another icebreakcr! If this be true, it will require a lot 9f explaining all around.

No stone structure will stand m water and ice at. an an le greater than 45 to 50 degrees. en, he has failed to cover the top with ten inches to s foot of reinforced cement on which to lsy a track.
