Weight 185 pounds. left de- fense, He started with Stratford Kroehlers and later spent two years with Toronto Marlboios of the 0.11. A. before bolng to Owen Sound of the O.I-f.A. for one sea- son. He attended the Providence Reds training camp for the past two seasons.

LARRY TRAVIS - All Star de- fc. man with the Islanders in the Big Four league last year. Larry was born in Winnipeg. Manitoba on Nov. 29. 1927. Height 6'. Weight 185 lbs. Right defense. Larry broke into Junior hockey with the Win- nipeg Rangers and played with them for three years before break- ing into senior competition with Oakland Oaks of the Pacific Coast League in 1947-46. In 1948-49 he played with Springfield and Fort Worth. Two years ago he played with the North Sydney Vlcs of the cape Breton Hockey League and was selected on the C.B.L. All- Stars. Larry also shoots a. good game of golf, plays football. bask- etball and baseball. He won the admiration of fans last year with his steady and dependable play- iztg.

Charlottetown Junior Royals in 1937-39 who won the Maritime Junior title and were later defeat- ed by Perth Blue Wings for the Ontario Junior crown. He served in the ilth. medium battery. R. C.A for 514 years during the last. war and spent three years overseas. In i946-47 he played with the Mone- ton Hawks and the following ycar he went to the Saint Paul Saints of the U.S.H.L. He returned to St, Paul in the fall of 1948 and moved up to the Raluzers before the season was over. Next season he returned to the Rangers bllt ill- juries sent him to New Haven Ramblers of the A.H.L. and he completed the year with St. Paul. He also plays baseball. "Buckn" led the team in scoring last season with 98 points.
