Truck Sought After Accident

A half-ton green Ford truck with a red box is-the object of a search by R.C.M.P. following a hit-and-run accident at North Bedeque about noon on Minday.

Hospital Patients Are Remembered

At Christmas patients in the Western Hospital were kindly re- membered by the Alberton Women's Institute and by Alberton suh-division of the Catholic Wo- men's League.

On Sunday afternoon a large Rroup of carollers, organized by Mrs. Aylre Gillis and Mrs. Gra- ham Bennett of the W.I. visited the hospital and brought much happiness to patients and staff as their voices rose in the loveLv music of Christmas. Mr. Fred Davison. Summerside. has received a letter from Mr. W. E. Baker of Hunter River who is at present vacationing in Pasa- dena. Callfornia. It will probably make all of Mr. Baker's friends in this Province sigh with envy. in particular the golf enthusiasts. for with the thermometer in this country hovering around the zero mark. Mr. Baker is enjoying his daily round of golf and basking in the warm sun.

A newspaper clipping enclosed with the letter states that Mr. Baker while playing on the Pass- dena Golf Club greens the other lday. scored a hole in one. He hol- led out a number three iron tee -shot on the 156 yard fourth hole.

No One Iniured In Two-Car Collision

A two-car collision at Hampton yesterday afternoon resulted in damage to both cars but no one was iniured. .

The Ferguson car was reported to he been!!! out of their drive- Wlir and the Ellis car with three passengers besides the driver, was proceeding westward on the Trans Canada Highway when the collision occurred. The Ellis vehicle t i 4 ms pests: amount of the damage. mostly to the front of the car including the radiator, to the extent that the car could not be driven.

Police Report Quiet Holiday

Summerside Police Department reported one of the quietest holl- day seasons on record over the Christmas season with no auto accidents and not even an arrest for uunkenness.

The only misdemeanor reported to police during the holidays was the theft of a kitbsg of shoes and clothing belonging to a member of the R.C.A.li'., and stolen from his car on Spring Street after midnight on Christmas eve.-(S).

Two persons are In Prince Coun- ty Hospital as the result of a two-car collision between cars from Springfield and Banter; 011 Monday on the Trans Canada Highway at a point about one-half nuie on the Borden side of the Albany intersection.
