ince particularly with the resurgence of the game at the University level and the increased interest due to the up— ‘ coming Canada Winter Games in February 1983. At the junior high school level the two teams have played exhibition matches and denonstrated the concepts of offense and defense. With the Senior A teams, the players have Iput on clinics dealing with game skills and strategy. The U.P.E.I. Team has played exhibition matches with the Senior AA Men's and Wcmen's High School teams. Instructional and exhibi- tion sessions have already been held with M.E. Cal— laghan and Hernwood, Stone— park, Fast Wiltshire Jun— ior High, Miscouche Regi— nal and Morell Regional 7 High Schools. There are also sessions planned for Montague, Charlottetown Rural, Westisle, Souris and Colonel Gray in the next few weeks.

"The program also gives exposure to the, Canada Games Team as well as the University Club," says Sears. "Since there is no on——going provincial program we feel, as a university team having

a five month seamn, we should take the lead in pranoting volleyball in the province. With

the Canada Games Team beginning its seventh month of training, the prcmotion and exposure for the team through

this instuctional pro— gram is good for the players as well as the

Last Monday dawned bright

running high in Blanchard Hall and Bernadine girls softball teams... Game . time 4:15 p.m. The team's approach thele diamond with anxious anticipation. The match likked very un— even with only 6 Blanchard players to 10 Bernadine girls. And uneven the ,' match was, the score after the middle of the fourth was Bernadine.5 to Blan— chard 20. The inning had seen 15 points scored for Blanchard and the Bernie girls calling the game out of humiliation. Many thanks to the Blanchard girls who left their mid—terns, papers and soap-operas for this final game.
