The closing banquet of St. Mary's st. John's A.Y.P.A. was held in st. Mary's Hall on Tuesday. June 1th.

A delicious hot chicken dinner was prepared by the members of the A.Y.P.A. and served by the ladies of St. Mary's Guild and St. John's W.A. The toast to the Queen was proposed by the presid- ent - Carrie Thomson. responded to by the National Anthem: to the Church by Archdeacon G.R.

All three children are from Sum- merside. The prizes were present- ed by Layton Schurman, chairman of the sight conscrvallon commit- tee of the Llins Club.

The three winning essays were read to the club by Lion Joe Clark and were all received with appre- riative applause.
