TRINITY Y. P. U. MEETING- The regular weekly meeting of the Trinity Y.P.U. was held last night in the Social Hall. The meeting was under the direction of Rich- ard Carson, convener of citizenship and community service. The meet- ingopened with ii. lively recreation period followed. by a short busi- ness meeting and worship service. Further plans were inside for a skate to be held tonight at the Memorial Field. A few rounds of Bible Baseball were then directed by Richard Carson. The meeting closed by singing "Blest Be The Tie" and Mr. Johnston pronounced the benediction.

-FUNERAL MONDAY - The funeral of the late Fred J. Gallant was held on Monday morning from his late I sldence on Central Street to St. Paul's Church where Requiem Mass was celebrated by Rev. Deaih Yesterday Of Summerside Business Man

The death occurred at his home in Summerslde yesterday of Mr. G. Edgar Clark. one of Summersldes most prominent business men and one who was held in the highest esteem by friends and business as- sociates alike for his many ster- ling qualities and his friendly nature.

The late Mr. Clark. who was in his 79th year. was born in Vic- toria, P.E. 1.. a son of the late Captain George and Mrs. Clar . He came to Suminerslde nearly years ago after he had learned the tailoring trade at Cr-apaud Comer under the late John Williams. Here he worked for s. time in the employ of the late William A. Stewart and later for a brief per- iod he moved to Newcastle. N. 3.. where he resided and carried on his trade.

Returning, to- Bumineraide he formed a partnership with the late Carey Bteeves-and for some years they inaintaincd a business stand on Water Street. On the death of Mr. Bteeves he became associated with the late Wilzhliun Buchuuisri and for some years the well known arm of Clark and Buohannsn rep- resented the finest in tailoring ex- cellence in this province.

On the death of Mr. B A in 1969. Mr. Clark took over the busineu in his own name. He was the local representative of the well known Tip Top Tailors brand oi clothing.

He was for some you: a mem- ber of the ollows Lodge and upuntllai youlagowasthe superintendent of Sunday School and a member of the choir in the United Baptist Church.

He leaves to mourn his wife. the former Clara Taylor of Summer- side; one son George, summei-side; one daughter. Olga (Mn. P. W. Ranger. Providence. 11.1.). who ar- rived home some days ago.
