out of Her Majesty’s Supreme Court of Judicature, at the suit of John Conley and James Costello, against John Hughes, I have taken and seized as the property of the said John Hughes, All the right, title and freehold interest of the said John Ilughcs, in and to One-fourth of an Acre of Land, a little more or less, with the buildings and improvements thereonsituate at Cardigan Bridge, Township No. 53, in Kings County; and I do hereby give public notice, that I will, on the 2nd day of August next, at 12 o’clock, noon, at theCourt House in Georgetown, in the said County, set up and sell, at Public Auction, the said Property, or as much thereof as will satisfy the levy marked on the said Writ, being £52 5s. together with 163. 8d for Writ, besides Sheriff's fees and incidental expenses.

Sm:—-I received a Letter from D. Currie,Esq., A. C. C., informing me that your Excellency’s attention having been called to an arti- cle which appeared in Ross’s lVec/cly newspaper, of the 13th of December last, purporting to be a resolution adopted at a meeting of the Tenantry of Township No. 50, which resolution appears to be seconded by Thomas Beer not Thomas Beers.

For the information of your Excellency, I may further add, I neither seconded the said resolution referred to, nor moved nor seconded any other reSolution at any meeting.

I should feel thankful to your Excellency to inform me whe- thermy reply is satisfactory, if not, I shall call on your Excellency and explain more fully the matter.
