The Eden Street Drop—In Center is a program which offers youths a chance to meet new friends and create new outlets of recreational activities. The ccmnunity felt that this type of pro— gram was needed to offer an alternative use for the free time and energy of

young people. It is there for all interested youth

for a recreation program and drop-in center for the ' youth of die Charlotteth area. A program, "submitted to the Solicitor General

of Canada, was approved on a five month basis to end on March 28, 1980. As it proved a‘ success, the drop- in center has been extended until September 1981.
