Mr. Marshall made a strong speech in favor of the motion. He contend.d for the justice of the change. It was fair, and right that women should be represect~ ed in all ebureh courts from the Quarterly Board to the General Conference. No sound argument could be made against representation. Women were intellectually fitted in every way for many of the highest callings in Ife. They were the peers of men, and sb: uld be ou the same base of equality and privilege.
