Notwithstanding the downpour of rain last evening, quite a large gathering of p ople were in St. Paul’s Scholroom to listen to Mrs. E. M. Tilley, the Dominion Secretary of the King’s Daughters and Sons. ‘the chair was taken by Rev. T. B | Reagh, and on the platform seated beside the Dominion Secretary were the local Presidents and Secretaries. Mrs. Tilley spoke for nearly an hour anda halfina most interesting'way of the Order and gave many true and pathetic instances of its great work throughout the Dominion.

Her explanation of how she becames member of the Mohawk tribe was beauti-

fully told, and indeed her whole address was rendered in such excellent language and _ pleasing

manner that it will ever be remembered by those whose pleasure it was to be present. Her invitation to any present who were not yet members of the order and who would like to be, was accepted by three young ladies who came forward and after a short but very impressive service by Mrs. Tilley were admitted as Kings Daughters, in Hig name. A _ very pleasing incident at the close of Mrs. Tilley’s address was the presentation by Master Arthur Bryan to her of a beautiful boqnet of flowers. This evening a reception will be given the Dominion Secretary by the members of both eircies in St. Paul’s Rectory from 8 to 10 o’clock.
