The W. M. S. of Cornwall United Church met at the home of Mrs. Gordon MacMlllan Thursday eve- ning January 2 and opened with a solo “Prayer to a heart nf lowly love" by Mrs. Douglas MacDonald. The devotional period "In the Crusade for Christ and His King- dom was conducted by Mrs. Brew- er Boyle. Mrs. Frank Howard and Mrs. Elmer Frlzzell, and closed with a prayer offered by Mrs. Wat- son Livingston. Mrs. H. Howard presided over the business part of the meeting. Roll cell was answer- ed with a verse of scripture and the minutes of previous meeting read. An interesting chapter "Christian youth bring new iifc to. new tasks" was prepared by Mrs.| A. P. MacEachern and rend by Mrs. Walter Boyle, and Mrs. Frank Howard was appointed to lead the next chapter for the February meeting which is to meet at the home of Mrs. George Mar-Millnn. Miss Beryl Morson was chosen by the members, to be the missionary for whom they were to write to, and prayers to be offered for her continued success. Delegates ap- pointed to attend Presbyicriai which ls to meet in Charlottetown are Mrs. Harry Crosby and Mrs. Colin Murray alternative. The Tress. gave n splendid report o! the past year. The meeting opened with the Ode followed by the Creed ln unison. Minutes of lalt meeting were read and approved. 18 membe and two visitors answered roll call by paying s cents which amounted to $1.05.
