PeRsonaL.—Tbe Reverend Patrick Doyle P. P. of Summerside, Prince Edward Island, is in town and 1s staying at Henchey’s Hotel. Father Doyle was ordained in the Basilica for his native diocese of Charlottetown on the 24th of January, 1864, and from that date till about the month ot June, following, he offici- ated in St. Patrick’s Church in this city, Some old time friends who happened to be come aware of his presence have been yell pieased to meet him again, and were rejoiced to find him in full health and vigor.—Quebee

Cie funcral of the late J. B. Morrow, Esq., was probably the largest, of a private citizen, ever seen in Halifax. A most impressive me- morial service was held in the Brunswick street Methodist Church, at which all the

Methodist ministers of the city attended, as wellas many clergymen of. other denomin-

ations. During the service Rev. R, Brecken delivered a splendid address, in which he re- ferred to the sterling Christian character of the departed gentleman and giving a sketch of his connection with the Methodist church in Halifax. Rev. S. F. Huestis made a few remarks of the same character, and the service concluded by the singing of Hymn 716, com- mencing ‘* Hear what the voice claims.”

The remains of the deceased were interred
