The Horrors of War.

Le Francais reports that as many as five hundred ot the French troops in Touquin are Sick. It asserts also that Chinese troops have spread over the northern portion of the province of Quangyen, in North Eastern Tonquin, and are levying contributions upon the inhabitants.

New York, Sept. 24. A man named McCarron shouted fire during the performance at Mount Morris Theatre last night, and it was with difliculty that a panic was avoided. He was arrested and was to-day sentenced to six months

Le Francais reports that as many as 500 of the Freneh troops in Tonquin are sick, It appears aiso that Chinese troops have spread ever the northera portion of the province of Guangyen, in north-eastern fonquin, and are levying contributions upon the inhabditants.

Disastrous Fire. Lonpon, Sept. 24.

A disastrous fire has occurred at Zertown in Syria. The Bazaar and forty houses were consumed. The fire has occasioned much soffering much suffering among the residents.

Sad Beath of a Tourist.

McKuyyey, Wyomrne, Sept. 24. The dead body of Gillie Leigh, member of the British Parliament, who strayed from a party of English tourists eight days since, has been found at the foot of a pre- cipitous cliff in Big Horn Mountains.
