Lena MacQuarrle, after a period of uncertain health.

Although visited from early childhood with a. physical handi- 08D. niﬂcanae in the eﬂulgence of her radiant personality. The memory of her sunny disposition and courageous cheer may well serve as an inspiration to those of her acquaintance. Through her ex- emplary Christian lifo and un- faltering trust, she was truly sus- tained and soothed. and she has now gone to receive the crown so richly deserved.

MRS. EARLE HUME y

The community of Brooklyn and surrounding districts were- saddened recently by the death of Mrs. Ehrle Hume in her forty- cighuh year.

Mrs. Hume was ill for only a "sitort time, and despite all that loving hands and professional care could do she passed on to her eternal reward.

She was formerly Annie Bears, daughter of the late James and Catherine Bears, also of Brook- lyn. Mrs. Hume was a woman of sterling character and she will be sorely missed by her family who cherish her memory as a tender wife and mother. lull of under- standing and guidance in times of trouble and doubt, also by a countless number of friends and‘ neighbours, to whom her memory will recall acts of kindness and thought at any time she could be of assistance.

A largo number attended the funeral services at tho Church-of Scotland. Brooklyn, which was conducted by her pastor, the Reverend J. H. Blimp who. dur- ing the course at his service. spoke words of comfort to the bereaved family.
