The Canadian Government have char- tered the Allan line steamer Sardinian to carry troops.
Surgeon Neilson has left for Quebec to make arrangements for the contingent.
Lieut-Col. Otter, of Toronto, was here on Saturday. He wil) likely go in com- mand of the contingent as far as Cape Town.
