A letter from the Diocesan President, Mrs. Parnell McMahon was read, advocating greater co-operatlon during the war period. also a letter from the Wartime Prices and Trade Board was discussed. Many letters of thanks were recelvedfrorn the boys of the parish on active service, who received boxes from this sub-divis- ion. Meeting adjourned. Delicious lunch was served by the hostess.

. JMISCELLANEOUS SHOWER.- A very pleasant miscellaneous show- er was held in the Orange Hall. Heatherdale, last week in honor of Mrs. Reginald Machecd, who was Miss Hazel MacKinnon, of Heath- dale. before her marriage. A very lovely assortment of gifts were pre- sented and were opened- by Miss Marv McPherson, Olive Leoco and Sybil MacDonald. The humorous verses were read bv Doris Mac- Pherson. A very pretty thank-vou speech was made by the new bride. after which all imed in singing “For She's A Jolly Good Fellow." Refreshments vrere served by the ladies and the remainder of the evenir- was spent in dancing to music fumlshed by Emmerson and Atwood O'Connor of Miltown. and Lorri MacKinnon, of Heathdale.
