Founp Daav.—An old women named Mary Young was found dead in a house on Kent Street cn Saturday morning. The circumstances which attended her death are unknown, but will, no doubt, be well in- vestigated. Ovk obituary to-day contains the an- nouncement of the death of John Walsh. Hae died yesterday, at the early age of 32. By dint of hard labor and industry, his suc- cess in business was great. He rose to wealth rapidly; but the very energy which cariied him forward so quickly undermined a constitution never very robust, and after along illness, brought him prematurely to the grave. He was generous and’ ready with his purse in the cause of religion and charity. He leaves a widow and one child, to whom we offer our condolence.

Ar the Stipondiary Magistrate’s Court this morning, William McPherson was com- mitted to jail eight days for being drunk and incapable. Thomas Fenneasy, for the same offence, was fined and paid $2.88. B. McAree for fighting on the street, forfeited the same amount. Thomas Rison, drunk and incapable, was fined $3 and costs or fourteen days. Edward Holland was fined $3 or fourteen days for furious driving. James Millner and Ronald Steele, for the same offence, were fined the same. David Cullen, drunk and ineapable, was fined $2! or eight days.
