The Scott Act Contest.

Much interest centres in the Seott Ac* election to-day. It is believed the vote will be large. The Temperance people count on carrying Salisbury, Packville, Moncton, Westmoreland and Botsford ; Shediac and Dorchester are expected to give majorities against the Act. Both par- ties are sanguine of victory in the whole County.

An election brought on to repeal the Scott Act im Westmorland County, takes place to-day. The indications are, that the English speaking electors, will give a large majority in favor of the Act.
