OTIAWA (CPl - .4 81,145,485 damage action has been filed in Ontario Supreme Court hue against the Hydro Electric Power Commission of Ontario by four companies who charged Hydro broke an agreement not to inter- fere with logdriving operations on the Ottawa River.

The companies are the Upper Ottawa Improvement Company. Canadian International P a p e r Company. E. B. Eddy COIDDIDY. Ltd. and Gillies Brothers and Co.. Ltd. l They claim that under an agree-i ment made in 1943. Hydro under- took not to take away the right all timber companies and others l0l drive logs down the Ottawa River.' But subsequent construction of dams at a number of river locaw
