Divorcee is Still Living In The Past

One of the most charming and gracious personalities in the social life of Charlottetown wasthe late Mrs. A.A. Barlett. But Mrs. Bar- lett as well as travelling. enter- taining and being entertained also gave her time to pu lic causes. One act of hers for which she win always be revered was the founding of the Queen Mary Need- lework Guild in Charlottetown. In this work she had the co-op- eration of her husband the late Major A A. Bartlett, her daughter Mrs. A.B. Cosh, and the latters husband, the late Mr. A.B. Cosh.

"Hose people who worked so hard for the Guild were an inspir- ation to others to serve well too.

At this time of the year when the Queen Mary Needlework Guild is holding its annual display of work at Mrs. Cosh's residence. West Street. Mrs. A.A. Bartlett is especially remembered.

To anyone who had the pleasure of seeing Mrs. Bartlett's slender fingcr: knitting. or moving like quicksiliitr at her needlework. it is a happy picture of artistry and the joy of service.

The many friends and relatives in this province of Mr. Wilfred Kennedy. Johannesburg, South Af- rica, will regret to hear of his con- tinued illneaa and that he has been confined antiarly for the past year to his room.

Mr. Kennedy who is a native of Cross Roads. P.E.I.. became one of the South Africa's leading citi- zens.

His carreer really started one summer on Prince Edward island.
