Hired help for the new Student Centre

A new Operation Manager requires reorganization of executive

Time to change the linen. The Student Union will soon hire an Operations man- ager.

The Operations Man- ager will primarily be respon- sible for management of the campus bar service, staff su- pervision, providing training, conducting meetings, event coordination, liquor pur- chases, and any other duties as required.

“That person will be looking after the bar,” says Pauline Tran, Vice President Internal. “There will be no need for a bar manager. The Operations manager will re- place the present Vice Presi- dent Operations, attending conferences and making and maintaining contacts [for bookings for bands}.”

Tran insists that hiring an Operations Manager is in the best interests of the stu-

Do you have your PIN yet?

You may or may not have noticed the signs around campus that are stressing the importance of knowing your PIN. This is something that you should take note of because it’s going to change a lot of things about the whole school process.

All students received their PIN back around Janu- ary, but a lot of people dis- regarded it. Each PIN is used in combination with each student number on the UPEI website.

fun begins. Well, it’s not “yahoo” fun, more like “neat” fun. Students have the option to view their marks from last semester or their personal exam sched- ule or to register for the summer semester and a

bunch of other things.

One of the neatest op- tions is to view your degree audit report. This lets you know if you're on track for attaining you degree. It shows what courses you have that will go towards your degree and what courses are left to take. It also shows the courses that you've taken that won't go towards your degree. —

The degree audit re- port also comes in handy if you're thinking about switching degrees. This helps you see how the courses you've previously taken will count towards the new degree and how much further ear to go.
