‘Copter Survey To Fix Height Of Mt. Kennedy

OTTAWA ‘(CP)—Mount Ken nedy in the Yukon, climbed for the first time last week by a party which included Senator Robert F Kennedy of New York, wil! be -visited again in April by surveyors in a_hell- copter -

The exact position and height of the mountain named after the fhte president John F. Ken- nedy is to be fixed by a joint Canada - US. geodetic survey project starting April 15

The height of the mountain had been estimated at 13,900 feet but Senator Kennedy said the climbing sarty’s altimeter showed it was mare than 14,000 It is in the southwest corner of the Yukon, near the juncture of the Yukon - British Columbia Alaska boundaries

The helicopter will land the surveylors at or near the sum mit. A brass geodetic marker will be embedded in the rock there The isolated region is being surveyed for the first time
