One of the Mothers is living. She is Mis. Joseph Small- wood. wife of the colorful Joey Smallwood who is known across the country as Newfoundland‘s Premier

\lrs. Smallwood was delighted with the image the Char- lottetown ladies created for her and she said as much to Mrs. T. Lat law who played the wife of Premier Smallwood when the Ladies Aid presented it in St. John's in September. Her husband was so impressed that tears ran down his cheeks as his wife was depicted on the stage.
