Three Kinds of Business Men.
There are three classes of business men in your town.
1.—lThe pusher—the man_ who works like sixty, thinks like seventy, and grows like eighty. He shoves his business, advertises all the time, gets his ideas from everywhere and furnish- es his own steam.
2—The drifter—-the man who is do- ing “pretty well” making a living, you know. He wants to do better, but fears to “branch out,”—sees advertis- ing trom the stand-point of what it will cost, not of what it will come to. He has to be lured to success. He don’t like to take chances—wants results to be dead sure before he goes in for any- thing.
3.—The quitter—the man who once chalked an advertisement on the bot— tom of a mud scow, and ever since has known from experience that advertising doesn’t pay.—Brains.

This is the con- struction of e deep water route from the Black Seato the Baltic. The distance from sea to sea is about 1,200 miles, but the greater part of the route follows the course of the rivers.
