Farmer Brown's boy hurried to what he calls Bob White's castle. It is a big pile of brush prepared especially for Bob White and his family. and so arranged that it ls not packed too tightly to ‘the ground. but loosely enough for the Bob Whites to easily creep about under it. yet so that they cannot be folloii ed by any one bigger than themselves. Under that brush they are safe from Reddy Fox. Black Pussy the Cat and oLher four-footed hunters and from all feathered limiters. Only Shadow the Weasel or his slightly bigger cousin, Billy Mink. could follow Llzem under there. -

That made it possible for Bob White who might be in there to get out at more than one place They were there, for as he worked Farmer Brown's boy heard little sounds that told liim not only that they ivere there but that they were aliie. He. cleared auav the snow from quite a space oii one side and there scattered a plentiful supply of grain. He was not out of ught before Bob White and all his flock were out there picking it up as ii’ stai-"riiig. as indeed they W92?‘
